Invitation to budding (or other) illustrators

As you will see the illustrations on this site are at present often crudely drawn and poorly designed.
Although this has a certain charm at times, it'll be good if illustrators are motivated to produce something that worked better without being megabite heavy. Please do put a name and link onto the discussion page attached to your image.
You can just up-load your illustration or speak to us first. If you just upload and your illustration is deemed not to be a clear as the one it replaces your image may be taken down.
Just as with text contributions there is no payment.
Licenses can be found on the link below but we currently have not integration as in Wikipedia.

Adding your NEW ILLUSTRATIONS is easy
1. You need to be registered to make edits.
2. Prepare the image on your computer and aim to reduce the file size to about 20Kb or less. The .jpg format seems best (link to wikimeda help for other possible formats)
3. Open the window containing you image file and open the STA site. Click 'upload file' and follow the instructions. When the file is uploaded you will see something like Image:yourfilename.jpg|thumb|caption within double square brackets. Copy this to your computer.
4. Then go to the location on STA where you want your image to illustration to appear; edit a section if possible rather than the whole page as editing the whole page may crash your browser. The section edit is a blue word 'edit' that appears to the right of the section heading. Type a line space or two and then paste the 'Image:yourfilename.jpg|thumb|caption' in its double brackets. Save page or show preview to see result and then save when its right.
5. If your image is small you can leave out thumb| If you want to place the image more precisely you can include left| centre| or right| after the image filename. If you click on the edit tab above you can see how the image to the right is linked.
